My M.A.T.E is made from both the oil and tree extracts of the Australian Tea Tree, Melaleuca Alternifolia. Tea Tree was used as a folk medicine among Indigenous Australians for thousands
of years in eastern inland areas for health benefits by inhaling the oils from the crushed leaves to treat coughs and colds. They also sprinkle leaves on wounds, after which a poultice is applied. In addition, Tea Tree leaves were soaked to make an infusion to treat sore throats or skin ailments offering protection from bacteria and viruses.
